SOLID FUEL BOILERS WITH AN ARTIFICIAL DRAFT FAN

ŠUKOPLAM PR 18 - 80 kW

Hot water boilers on solid piece fuel type Šukoplam PR 18-80kW essentially represent a modification of boilers type Šukoplam R 18-80 kW. This modification is reflected in the installation of a special combustion fan on the lower door of the boiler. In this way, the boiler works on the so-called artificial draft i.e. The main source of combustion air becomes a fan, not a chimney. The installation of the fan achieves better fuel combustion as well as better maintenance of the set temperature in the boiler within the desired limits. This fine maintenance of the set water temperature is very important in numerous industrial processes, and this makes these boilers an excellent choice for the process industry. Also, due to the combustion fan, the boiler can work without problems and paired with chimneys that by their characteristics (diameter and height) would not give the desired traction in the boiler that would work on the so-called natural draft.

The operation of the combustion fan and the convenient maintenance of the temperature is controlled by the automatic boiler.

The installation of combustion fans also, due to the increased draft in the boiler, implies that turbulators must be installed in the flue pipes of the boiler, which would turn the increased laminar flue gas flow into turbulent and thus intensify heat exchange between flue gases and water. In this way, the efficiency of the boiler can be increased by 7-10%, which practically means savings in the fuel that the boiler burns.

The boiler itself is made as a three-promaj hot water boiler with one water cooled partition and pipe beam, which means that the combustion products pass by the water space on three occasions, whereby they maximally hand over heat to the water. The boiler body is well insulated with mineral wool, and the formwork is protected by plasticizing procedures.

The boiler is intended for the production of hot water in operating modes 110/90ºC as well as 90/70ºC with a maximum operating pressure of 2.5bar.

The regulation of the combustion air is carried out through a draft regulator that drives the flap on the lower door and thus reduces or increases the amount of combustion air as well as by changing the number of revolutions of the combustion fan.

The protection of the boiler from elevated pressure is carried out by a safety valve installed in the prescribed place on the boiler, while the securing of the boiler from elevated temperatures is carried out by installing a safety heat exchanger that, if necessary, cools the boiler.
